The funny creature from The Jungle Survival Guide takes on a new guide, this time to the city. With her book under her arm, she wanders the streets to meet the city's inhabitants, both human and animal. In the course of her wanderings and questions, she finds in her precious guide all the solutions she needs to apprehend this new universe! Those flat tires? dumbbells!  How about a mop for a wig? 

How, above all, to protect herself from the bright red sun, which is so uncomfortable? Gathering seeds, acorns and dandelion needles, she demonstrates her unfailing ingenuity by planting them right in her new hair, letting the rain and sun make them grow. Under a bushy shade, she invites her new friend, a big white dog, to bask with her, under the incredulous gaze of locals and passers-by. 

In the same spirit as her intelligent, inquisitive and clever first book - winner of an award at the prestigious Bologna Fair - Chinese author Hao Shuo brings us colorful, funny illustrations full of surprises and poetry.

Hao Shuo was born in China some thirty years ago. After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Beijing, she spent a few months at the Sorbonne before joining the illustration workshop at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg. Still between two countries - and on a plane - in 2021, she will take up a six-month residency at the Drawing Factory in Paris.
