DIARY OF A DETAINEE ONE-SHOT

R.E. Burke, an artist and backpacker from Wales, was detained by ICE for 19 days despite having a work visa and no criminal history.

She's now creating a comic chronicling her experience in a privately-run detention center, where people often endure horrific conditions, overcrowding, and abuse. And she wants to use her voice and platform to remember the other women that she was detained with, who banded together in survival and solidarity.

This comic is the first extract of a larger work in progress.
