In recent years, our knowledge about garening has changed dramatically, and the world hasn't noticed. We cultivated our plots out of love for nature, vonvinced that hydrageas will feed bees, buddleias will help butterflies survive, and a bed of peonies will bring happiness to bumblebees. Yet, these plants often harm nature. What? How? When? It turns out that color, petal arrangement, location, and even knowing what really is a flower and what is just pretending to be one may matter. Oh, and bees aren't that helpful either.

I know! I was surprised too.

A garden is a world full of traps for our good intentions, and this comic is a record of how I fell into all of them. My journey from unhealthy soil and miserable vegetables to a bountiful harvest and giving nature a sanctuary was no bed of roses because... I cut them all down. But I'll tell you more about that later.

The first issue will tell the story of how a broken lock and a deserted city accidentally led us to buying an allotment. You'll learn how to succesfully use a pump, what the previous owner managed to fit into a small garden hut and.. how much does one have to pay for a used bucket..?
