Saint Bartholomew was one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus, according to the New Testament. It is said that he was martyred in the 1st century by flaying - being skinned alive! For this reason he is considered the patron saint of leatherworkers, tanners, glove makers and bookbinders.

Saint Bartholomew's day falls on the 24th August, a date which has also long held significance for papermakers, printers and bookbinders.

A6, 12 page booklet printed in red Risograph on cream laid paper. Cover printed in metallic gold ink, featuring a 4 colour print in yellow, metallic gold, red and blue Riso. Bound with thread and glass beads.
