Drink and Draw with Antoine Cossé, Shazleen Khan and Peter Morey

We're back at our local pub for another Drink and Draw! Along with our friends at Broken Frontier, we invite three guest artists to curate a monthly drawing session while having a few pints at our new watering hole, The Royal George. The next Drink and Draw is on Friday 26th September 2025, from 6.30pm.

This session falls during the weekend of Lakes International Comic Arts Festival which means we'll be losing our amazing co-host Andy Oliver and our cartoonist in residence Mark Stafford for this session. But not to worry, we've invited three absolutely astounding artists to make this this Drink and Draw one to remember, while Will, our host from Gosh!, holds down the fort. This month, we'll be joined by Antoine Cossé, Shazleen Khan and Peter Morey!

So, what is a Drink and Draw? Well, it's in the name! We'll host an evening of drawing with our guest comic artists, all while having a few drinks together, alcholic and non alcholic. Mark Stafford, our resident cartoonist, will be a regular face at the monthly event, being joined by two guest artists every time. We'll meet at Gosh! for 6.30pm, where they'll be a chance to mingle with the artists and check out their comics, before we head over to The Royal George for 7pm. Once everyone has grabbed a seat and a drink, we'll start three short rounds of drawing, with each guest artist setting their own drawing theme. Gosh! will have the artists work on sale and even have some prizes for their favourite drawings! We will likely wrap up by 9.30pm, but staying afterwards to continue the fun is more than welcome.

Broken Frontier and ourselves have been running the Drink & Draws since 2015 and we've been lucky enough to have had over 200 guest artists attend! It will be hosted by Broken Frontier's wonderful Andy Oliver and Gosh's Will Humberstone.

We're so excited to see some familiar faces again at our Drink and Draws, and hopefully some fresh ones too! The event is free and everyone is welcome. We will be meeting at Gosh! Comics at 6.30pm on Friday 26th September 2025. There will be limited seating available at the Royal George and seating will be prioritised to those who were at the shop first. Look forward to seeing you then!
