Drink and Draw with Leo Fox, Mark Stafford and Kiera Won

We're back and in the full swing of things again, running our monthly Drink and Draw with our friends at Broken Frontier! We've got a very special one this month. You may have heard that we're running our very own festival, Gosh!Fest, on Saturday 30th August, which we couldn't be more excited for. Click the link here to find out more. As part of the festival schedule, 3 of our invited guests will be joining us the evening before for the Drink and Draw tie-in event, including our cartoonist in residence Mark Stafford, and artists Leo Fox and Kiera Won! Join us on Friday 29th August 2025, from 6.30pm.

So, what is a Drink and Draw? Well, it's in the name! We'll host an evening of drawing with our guest comic artists, all while having a few drinks together, alcholic and non alcholic. Mark Stafford, our resident cartoonist, will be a regular face at the monthly event, being joined by two guest artists every time. We'll meet at Gosh! for 6.30pm, where they'll be a chance to mingle with the artists and check out their comics, before we head over to The Royal George for 7pm. Once everyone has grabbed a seat and a drink, we'll start three short rounds of drawing, with each guest artist setting their own drawing theme. Gosh! will have the artists work on sale and may even have some prizes for their favourite drawings! We will likely wrap up by 9.30pm, but staying afterwards to continue the fun is more than welcome.

Broken Frontier and ourselves have been running the Drink & Draws since 2015 and we've been lucky enough to have had over 200 guest artists attend! It will be hosted by Broken Frontier's wonderful Andy Oliver and Gosh's Will Humberstone.

Mark Stafford writes, paints and draws. He is co-creator of the Cherubs! graphic novel with Bryan Talbot, and previously collaborated with Dave Hine on 'The Colour Out Of Space' for SelfMadeHero's The Lovecraft Anthology: Volume I. He is the longstanding cartoonist-in-residence at The Cartoon Museum, London, and writes about cinema for Electric Sheep magazine.

We're so excited to see some familiar faces again at our Drink and Draws, and hopefully some fresh ones too! The event is free and everyone is welcome. We will be meeting at Gosh! Comics at 6.30pm on Friday 29th August. There will be limited seating available at the Royal George and seating will be prioritised to those who were at the shop first.

Keep up to date with all news over on our Facebook event page.
