Love & Vermin Launch Party: Will McPhail in Conversation with Monica Heisey
We're very excited to celebrate the launch of New Yorker cartoonist Will McPhail's new collection, Love & Vermin! Will is going to be in conversation with writer Monica Heisey on Thursday 20th October, from 7.30-9pm.
Will McPhail is a satirical cartoonist whose commentary on our social interactions and daily banalities are delightfully uproarious. Monica Heisey is a fellow New Yorker writer and who has written for television shows such as Schitt's Creek and Baroness Vovn Sketch Show. Monica will be hosting the talk with Will. Here's some words from the publisher about Will's new book:
With his shrewd eye for mundane absurdities and deeply
relatable urban creatures, Will McPhail is one of Britain's
most distinctive cartoonists. His cartoons delight in the
anxieties of everyday life, skewer modern politics and
capture the painful and ridiculous truths behind our
behaviours.
In his first collection, new cartoons are united with old
favourites: knowing mice and eligible pigeons fill our cities,
while the beloved adventures of Lady No-Kids gleefully
continue. Pondering life, love and nonsense, Love &
Vermin is a trove of sly wisdom and laughter.
So come along on Thursday 20th October, from 7.30-9pm to spend an evening with Will McPhail, catch the talk and even grab a copy of Love & Vermin! You can pick up a signed copy of the book from our website too, for collection or mail order.
