The Gosh! Authority 01.04.26
Hello!

This Friday sees a double launch! Celebrating the release of Odnal's Pral - An Audience With Oepedius Flax from Decadence, and Ex Mag Vol 06 from Peow, we'll have Lando and Gareth Damian Martin here to sign copies! Details here.
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

- URI TUPKA & THE GODS HC - Return to the Lands Unknown, Mike Mignola's new folklore-infused universe, with this follow-up to Bowling With Corpses. Uri Tupka undertakes a pilgrimage to find the gods that seem have abandoned the world, and meets all manner of beings along the way. What a treat to get regular Mignola again!

- BIZARRO YEAR NONE #1 - Kevin Smith dips back into the DCU for an off-the-wall collaboration with Eric Carrasco and Nick Pitarra. We're going back to the beginning for the pop culture icon that is Bizarro, as Perry White, Jimmy Olsen and some young reporter named Clark Kent head into space and find a strangely almost-familiar planet. Knockout art from pitarra on this!

- DAREDEVIL #1 - Matt Murdock gets a shiny, fresh new #1 courtesy of Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett, and it looks like a good time to have a fresh look. Murdock's situation has dramatically changed, and thanks to that he's being targeted by a new villain named Omen, who has some dark secrets of their own.

- WONDER MAN #1 - Gerry Duggan and Mark Buckingham take Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, for a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard. He's certainly had his ups and downs, like any movie star worth their salt, but now his checkered past is catching up to him in the form of his old cellmate Randolph Chancellor.

- ETERNALS 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 - A bumper celebratory anthology for the superheroes that Marvel desperately wanted to replace the X-Men, but couldn't quite make happen no matter how they tried. Sad really, as they are - as you would expect with a Jack Kirby creation - a pretty cool concept. Well, this ones for you, Eternals fans!

- GHOST MACHINE OFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK #1 - Remember the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe? Remember Who's Who in the DC Universe? Well, Geoff Johns and his Ghost Machine collaborators do, and they're giving their little universe the same treatment! Character profiles, world building infodumps, and teases of what's to come!

- MAD ABOUT DC #1 - Guest editor Chip Zdarsky brings the likes of Matt Fraction, Skottie Young and Charles Soule to a Mad special dedicated to the caped denizens of the DCU, just in time for April Fool's Day. Heck, just nice to see a Mad issue with this much new material!

- GROO THE PROPHECY #1 - Speaking of Mad, Sergio Aragones, one of the Gang of Idiots, is back alongside Mark Evanier for another adventure with their own wonderful idiot in a new Groo mini-series. It the usual Groo tale of social commentary, in-jokes, cartoon violence, and cheese dip.

- ROYALS #1 - Derek Kirk Kim teams up with artist Jacob Perez for a psychically charged crime thriller set in the gambling dens and back streets of Seoul. Two telepathically linked brothers use their ability to win big at back alley poker tables, but they run into trouble when they come up against the head of South Korea's biggest crime family.

- ALIEN KING KILLER #1 - A new story by Saladin Ahmed and Carlos Nieto, set in a universe where mankind has lost Earth and its outposts to the xenomorphs. On one such planet, a group of three sibling warlords provide protection to the survivors, but at what cost? And what of their fourth sibling?

- CAPTAIN MARVEL DARK PAST #1 - Paul Jenkins and Lucas Werneck dig up some Carol Danvers skeletons, as an organisation with ties to her family launch an attack on New York. It's all tied to missing memories and an old case she once covered as a journalist. Sounds like an interesting change of pace from the usual Captain Marvel stories!

- DEADPOOL APRIL POOLS DAY #1 - Gail Simone teams up with Ig Guara, Robert Gill and Carlos Fabian Villa for a madcap Deadpool one-shot. Something's rotten at the heart of April Fool's Day, and the Merc With A Mouth is determined to get to the bottom of it.

- KILROY IS HERE #1 - Joe Pruett has been quietly producing Kilroy is Here tales since his days doing Negative Burn, and it looks like he's bringing them to a head with this series, working with artist Dalibor Talajić. Kilroy has wandered the Earth throughout history, avenging the weak, but now the final battle is coming and he has to choose a side.
And that's it for this week!
