The Gosh! Authority 02.11.22

Hello!

Lot of people excited for our next event, a launch party for Lucie Bryon's new graphic novel Thieves. Lucie will be here on Monday November 7th, 7-9pm, to meet, greet and sign for fans. It's a great book, so don't miss out! Get the details here.

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

  • BATMAN & THE JOKER THE DEADLY DUO #1 - Harley Quinn and Commissioner Gordon are both missing as Joker-like monsters roam the streets of Gotham. Batman and the Joker must work together to find the responsible party and bring them to some kind of justice. So goes the setup for one of the most anticipated Bat-series we've had in a while, mainly due to it being written and drawn by the one and only Marc Silvestri (arguably the best artist of the original Image boys).

  • HELL TO PAY #1 - Hot on the heels of hit series Eight Billion Genies, Charles Soule is back, this time with artist Will Sliney, for an all-new supernatural adventure. A couple endowed with magical abilties thanks to a sinister deal made in the past must track down the devil's coins - all 666 of them. They're nearly done, but will they truly be free of the debt they've incurred? You'll have to slap down some coins of your own to find out.

  • BEHOLD BEHEMOTH #1 - A promising looking new horror book from Tate Brombal and Nick Robles. A social worker, traumatised by the recent death of his brother, dreams of a world-ending monster, only to find a connection between it and a young girl he is assigned through work. His dreams and the waking world begin to blur, and it seems like end of the world might be at the heart of it all.

  • SECRET INVASION #1 - It's skrull time! Nick Fury and Maria Hill are on the trail of recent skrull sightings, determined to nip any shape-shfting skullduggery in the bud. The reliably good Ryan North teams up with artist Francesco Mobili for this five issue mini.

  • DEADPOOL #1 - The return of Deadpool to an ongoing series after a rather mysterious extended absence. Alyssa Wong and Martin Coccolo launch a new era for Wade Wilson (nicely timed for the Deadpool 3 movie announcement). His new mission: take out one of the Marvel universe's most famous villains. Easier said than done given that he's been kidnapped and has something growing inside him. Yes, you read that right.

  • ONES #1 - Brian Michael Bendis launches an entirely new series with artist Jacob Edgar. It's a fun idea: all those who have ever been prophecied as The One are brought together as a team to face the actual One, who isn't quite the saviour we would expect The One to be.

  • QUICK STOPS #1 - An all-new anthology series of short stories (but tall tales) set in Kevin Smith's Askewniverse. Smith is joined by artist Jeremy Simser for this first issue, which focuses on Chasing Amy's Holden McNeil as he relates the origins of Bluntman and Chronic.

And that's your lot for this week friends!
