This Thursday, 7-9pm, sees us hosting the release party for Aristotle's Cuttlefish, the new graphic novel from Matthew Dooley! Our launch for Matthew's debut, Flake, wound up cancelled due to COVID. So we're very happy we can give Matthew his due at last! Details here.

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• IMPERIAL #1 - Jonathan Hickman goes cosmic for this new event series with artists Iban Coello & Federico Vicentini. All the big space-faring players are present as Hickman throws a grenade into the status quo and reshapes the cosmic balance of power. It's certainly the kind of story that'll play to his strengths.

• MARVEL KNIGHTS THE WORLD TO COME #1 - A glimpse into a possible future courtesy of two of the architects of the original Marvel Knights initiative: Joe Quesada and Christopher Priest. Priest really redefined the Black Panther with his MK run, and he's back in that playground again, though now T'Challa is dead and the fallout has unleashed a Wakandan power struggle.

• JUSTICE LEAGUE VS GODZILLA VS KONG 2 #1 - The JL gang head back to the land of Titans thanks to Brian Buccellato & Christian Duce. But of course Amanda Waller and Task Force X are up to no good, developing their own Titan hybrids. Sounds like a job for a lizard, an ape, and a bunch of people in spandex!

• GHOST RIDER VS GALACTUS #1 - The next in J. M. Straczynski's oddball team-up series, this time with artist Juan Ferrerya. Galan of Taa meets Johnny Blaze, and I imagine the Big G has some serious penance to pay for his life of planet eating.

• DC PRIDE 2025 #1 - DC's annual anthology for Pride month returns, the usual bumper collection of stories featuring LGBTQ+ characters and creators. Featuring Maya Houston, Josh Trujillo, Vita Ayala, Sam Maggs, Tim Sheridan, Jude Ellison S. Doyle, Phillip Sevy, Vincent Cecil, A. L. Kaplan, Emilio Pilliu, Giulio Macaione, Skylar Patridge, Max Sarin & Derek Charm.

• MOMMY BLOG #1 - Marguerite Bennett & Eleonora Carlini turn their satirical eye toward parental influencers in this horror comedy. When local children start disappearing, mum blogger decides she has to step up her game to catch the killer. And possibly take out some of her influencing competition while she's at it.

• DARK HONOR #1 - A disgraced daughter of New York's most powerful criminal gang must step up to save the family business after a ruthless new player attempts a takeover at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. A new crime thriller from Ethan Sacks and K. S. Bruce.

• BE NOT AFRAID #1 - After birthing the child of an angel who has grown into a corrupted, evil young man, Cora Reims is tasked by heaven to destroy him on the eve of his 18th birthday. Interesting new horror from Jude Ellison S. Doyle and Lisandro Estherren.

• SIXTH GUN ROAD TO THE SIX #0 - Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt are bringing the world of the Sixth Gun back to life with an upcoming sequel series. But first this oneshot sets the scene, bridging the end of the previous series to the beginning of the next.
