Hello!

Okay, the year is well and truly underway! And cold! No events yet, but the comics are flowing. Well...starting to flow, anyway!

I've been asked a few times about whether we're doing a sale this year. Just to confirm, there won't be a back issue sale this year, but we will be doing our usual table of reduced books in February. Look for more details on that soon!

Also...not sure you're aware of this, but 2026 marks our 40th trading year, so expect some big announcements on that front real soon!

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• ABSOLUTE BATMAN ARK M SPECIAL #1 - We've had a little glimpse into the horrors of Ark M, the private prison that Batman found himself banged up in. Now it's time to learn the origin story of these Ark monster factories thanks to Scott Snyder, Frank Tieri and Josh Hixson (who's doing some great, moody art for this).

• HANK HOWARD PIZZA DETECTIVE THE TWO HOLLYWOODS #1 - Robert Venditti and David Lapham unite for a Hank Howard story. Hank is a man who lives for the world of pizza crime. Yep, Big Pizza is a world of corruption and hard-boiled nefariousness, and Hank is on the payroll of Big Caligula's, one of the top pizza corporations. When the death of a Big Caligula's employee leads him to Hollywood, Hank finds himself drawn into the shady world of...the Australian Mafia! Another from the Bad Idea vaults available for our consumption at last!

• CARMEN RED CLAW BELLY OF THE BEST #1 - A new weird west addition to the Mignolaverse from Mike Mignola and Rachel Allen Everett. Shapeshifter and gunslinger Carmen Red Claw investigates cattle mutilations in 1870s New Mexico. Red Claw? Sounds like there might be a Lobster Johnson connection there...

• NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS THE SHIVER OF CHRISTMAS TOWN #1 - I feel perhaps this has shipped a little later than intended! But what does that matter when you get some new Nightmare Before Christmas comics, thanks to Torunn Grønbekk and Edu Menna.

And that's it! I suspect I'm going to get some kind of monster week just around the corner...
