The Gosh! Authority 08.04.26
Hello!

Our old pal / kids comics superstar Gary Northfield is back with us this Thursday, 7-9pm, for the launch of his new graphic novel Mighty Mega Pets! Come on down and help celebrate! Details here.

Then on Saturday we have Jacob Phillips and Pip Martin here for a signing to celebrate the collected edition of Everything Dead & Dying! Details here.
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

- FURY OF FIRESTORM #1 - Jeff Lemire and Rafael De Latorre are next in line ofr DCs Next Level initiative, introducing a Ronnie Raymond who seems more monster than hero. He's descended on a sleepy little town and seems to be engaging in some decidedly unheroic activities, altering things and people at a molecular level. What the heck is going on, Ronnie? You need to lay off the caffeine, mate.

- EVERYONE LOVES A JEWEL THIEF #1 - This looks like a fun book from Tim Seeley and Aaron Campbell. A floundering writer decides to revive his career by writing about an elaborate heist, one that he himself is going to concoct and reveal. With a group of co-conspirators including his old D&D group and other assorted misfits, what could possibly go wrong?

- GODZILLA'S MONSTERPIECE THEATRE PRESENTS ROMEO & JULIET & GODZILLA #1 - The Big G is invading the classics once again, this time meddling in the star-crossed love affair of Shakespeare's doomed duo. The lead story is by Adam Tierney & Sean Peacock, with a backup by Tom Scioli, as the terrible lizard stomps through Sherwood Forest, running into a certain hooded outlaw.

- ESTUARY A GHOST STORY #1 - A new horror series by Tim Daniel, David 'D.B.' Andry and Maan House. An old, reputedly haunted Mission looks out over the Pacific, a tidal estuary at the base of the cliff. A nun keeps vigil there, looking for some ancient secret, and a marine biologist is about to be embroiled in the dark history of the place when she's hired to investigate a shipwreck in the estuary.

- NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH #1 - A murder occurs in the tunnel that joins two gated communites together, and a blame game ensues. The two people who discovered the body, one from each community, must work together to figure out who commited the murder, uncovering secrets and lies that underpin their safe, gated lives. A twisty, turny thriller from Sarah Gailey and Haining.

- WEB OF VENOM #1 - There's a new symbiote in town, decked out in the familiar red and blue (and with the familiar goofy tongue - yes that's right, I'm a McFarlane Venom traditionalist, no fan of Larsen's drooly, big tongue Venom!) But who could it be? Someone very familiar, apparently. Any bets?
And that's another week done!
