It's Reads week! This month, London's premier graphic novel reading group will be discussing the 2019 SelfMadeHero graphic novel Maggy Garrisson, by Lewis Trondheim and Stéphane Oiry. It was a Best Of book for us back in the day, so plenty to discuss, I'm sure! Come along Wednesday, 7-9pm, all are welcome! Details here.

Back from my holidays, and it's a fairly gentle week to come back to, as Image comics and TPs and HCs from all publishers have all been delayed to the UK. Should be here next week.

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• THE HAB #1 - A horror series from Joshua Dysart, David Lapham and Bill Sienkiewicz taking a stab at doom-prepping billionaires. As the world falls apart, Tuttle Burrows and his family and friends take refuge in the gigantic habitat he's had built on top of a glacial cave, ensuring a supply of freshwater. But with something previously trapped in the ice now released, and a creeping madness gripping the new inhabitants, this might not be the sanctuary they were hoping for. David Lapham inked by Bill Sienkiewicz? Yes please!

• RESIDENT ALIEN: ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD #1 - One final issue by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse sees Harry's secret under threat and the Earth looking to join the Circle of Worlds. A one-shot send-off the the much-loved series that had an impact well beyond all initial expectations.
