The Gosh! Authority 22.10.25
Hello!
No events this week, so let's instead just take a moment to bask in the glory of Bernie Wrightson (and think about how excited we are for Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein!)
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
- CAPTAIN HENRY AND THE GRAVEYARD OF TIME #1 - Mike Mignola and Bruce Zick lean into the the pulpy end of the Mignolaverse in a new series that looks like good fun. A time traveller finds himself stranded in a strange new dimension, and he's not the only one. But who's responsible?
- LAST WOLVERINE #1 - In the Age of Revelation, the people of Vancouver are protected by the Wonderful Wolverine, aka, the Wendigo! (Err...haven't we established that the wendigo in the Marvel Universe is someone who is cursed due to their consumption of human flesh?) Saladin Ahmed and Edgar Salazar take Logan's final student on a mission to uncover a secret from his mentor's past. Presumably he doesn't like to delve into the secrets of his own past...nom nom nom.
- OMEGA KIDS #1 - Tony Fleecs and Andrés Genolet catch us up with Quentin Quire, who's all growed up and in charge of the Revelation Territory spy network. And he's got his own little group of young mutant operatives, who might just displace him if he's not careful.
- RADIOACTIVE SPIDER-MAN #1 - In an attempt to hold of the X-Virus, future Spidey has been dosing himself up with some harsh medicine. Needless to say it's taken its toll: look at those little arms! Joe Kelly and Kev Walker check in on Peter Parker in the Age of Revelation.
- X-MEN BOOK OF REVELATIONS #1 - Jed MacKay and Netho Diaz get right to the heart of the matter, with a series about the doings in the court of the Heir to Apocalypse. Fabian Cortez isn't happy about the new addition to Revelation's inner circle, and he's intent on doing something about it.
- JUDGE DEATH MEGA-SPECIAL 2025 #1 - A bumper book of tales featuring Judge Death and pals in celebration of their 45th birthday! Tales from the likes of Kek-W, Stewart Kenneth Moore, Alec Worley, Alex de Campi, Antony Johnston, Dale Halvorsen, Lee Carter and Leigh Gallagher.
- OUTLAW SHOWDOWN #1 - An EC one-shot of tales from the old West. Brian Azzarello, John Arcudi, Ann Nocenti, Tony Moore, David Lapham are in the creative line-up, so they're not messing about with it!
- TERMINATOR METAL #1 - A soldier in the human resistance must fight his way back from behind enemy lines with only a reprogrammed Terminator to assist hime. Declan Shalvey, Rory McConville and Lorenzo Re go back...to the future!
- THANKSGIVING #1 - Mark Russell and Mauricet invite you to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at home with the typical American family: splintered. Amid the awkward generation gaps and family secrets stalks a Thanksgiving serial killer who is about to strike again. But who is the Turkeyneck Killer? A very Mark Russell horror story, slathered in satire, just how we like it.
And that's another week down! See you next time, when November looms!
Andrew.
