It’s the start of another excellent week of events and new releases here at Gosh! let’s check out everything that’s happening in-store…

On Saturday 27^th August, fan-favourite writer Si Spurrier is in the shop from 1-2pm, signing copies of the astonishing, wordless Step By Bloody Step! This is a remarkable book from Si and artist Matias Bergara. Join us and Si this Saturday. Get more details here.

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• DAMAGE CONTROL #1 - Go on, admit it… It’s been too long without a Damage Control series to brighten up your humdrum superhero life, hasn’t it? After appearances in Spider-Man: Home Coming and Ms. Marvel on screen, they’re back for a new series courtesy of Hans Rodionoff, Adam F. Goldberg, Charlotte Fullerton Jay P. Fosgitt and Will Robson!

• TALES OF THE HUMAN TARGET #1 – With Christopher Chance’s murder investigation on hold until September when the main book returns, Tom King teams with Greg Smallwood, Mikel Janin, Rafael Alburquerque and JLI legend Kevin Maguire for four mysteries that all connect to his eventual murder. Each tale teams Chance with a different JLI member so expect fireworks!  King and Smallwood's Human target is one of the best books on the shelves right now, so this expansion of it's corner of the DC Universe is one we're excited for.

• MINOR THREATS #1 – It’s a hard life out there for the c-list ‘super’-villains! Spare a thought for the little guys living under the yoke of the good guys and super-teams in this new book from Actor / Comedian Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum and Scott Hepburn. Oswalt remains a sharp pop-culture commentator so this should have a great, satirical edge!

• OLYMPUS REBIRTH – Regular WW writers Becky Cloonan & Michael Conrad team with Caitlin Yarsky to welcome Queen Hippolyta to Olympus and the Patheon of Greek Gods... but will they all be happy to see her? Cloonan & Conrad have done wonders for the Wonder Woman line of books and it's great to see them usher in the next phase with this one-shot. Plus you get the added bonus of that gorgeous cover by Todesco!

• WYND: THE THRONE IN THE SKY #1 – James Tynion IV's and Michael Dialynas’ hit fantasy saga begins it’s second volume with Wynd finding himself the last hope for peace between warring realms. Wynd was a one of the most fun and original hits of the last couple of years, so we expect good things from this!

• DEVIL’S REIGN TP – One of the best Marvel events in recent memory, bringing together the street-level characters of Hell’s Kitchen for a war against The Kingpin and Mayor of New York, Wilson Fisk. Read the complete main series here, released this week along with Devil’s Reign: Superior Four, which was satisfying as the main book!
