The Gosh! Authority 28.12.23
Hello, and welcome to the end of 2023!
Just a reminder that the delivery will be arriving to go out on Thursday this week. Hopefully it'll arrive early and we'll get it processed as quickly as we can, but best to leave it for the afternoon if you want to comics for New Year's Eve.
And speaking of New Year's Eve, we'll be closing at 2pm on the 31st, and reopening on the 2nd at 10.30am, when hours will return to normal.
And then next week, delivery will be arriving to go out on the Wednesday so again, maybe give it until the afternoon before heading in.
Looking ahead, our January sale is coming, starting on Saturday 13th January, ending Sunday 28th January, with boxes of cheap graphic novels and half price back issues, so mark that in your diaries. More details soon.
On with the comics!
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
- TIMELESS #1 - Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly and Juann Cabal do the now traditional one-shot which gives a glimpse at the year ahead for the Marvel Universe, though this time there doesn't seem to be any Kang in sight. Instead, we're brought into the far future, where Power Man, the last living hero, battles against a tyrannical, techno-magical version of Moon Knight, which threatens to destroy reality.
- DUKE #1 - The Energon Universe version of GI Joe starts here, with the first of four connected mini-series. After surviving and encounter with a shapeshifting robot, Conrad "Duke" Hauser is determined to get to the bottom of the secret war that may consume the planet, even if his superiors refuse to believe him. Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly get on board the gung-ho train.
- DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG FU GANG WAR #1 - Shang-Chi is back for a Gang War tie in, thanks to Greg Pak & Caio Majado. Now ruler of the Five Weapon Society, Shang-Chi is drawn into the widening conflict that threatens to engulf Chinatown.
- BOOK OF BUTCHER #1 - A one-shot setting the stage for next year's fifth anniversary of Something is Killing the Children, focusing on Maxine Slaughter as she completes her journey to black mask. James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera continue to flesh out the world of SiKtC.
And that's it for 2023! Happy New Year, all, see you in 2024!
