Big news this week is the launch signing for Shaky Kane and Krent Ables new anthology graphic novel Kane & Able!

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• UNITED STATES CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 (OF 5) - Christopher Cantwell and Dale Eaglesham provide the framing story for this mini-series that sees Captain America and the Falcon travelling across the USA searching for Cap's stolen shield. Along the way they meet different Captains who stand in defence of the diverse communities of the United States. Each is by a different creative team, with this first issue featuring the Captain America of the railways by Josh Trujillo and Jan Bazaldua. 

• BLACK BETH AND THE DEVILS OF AL-KADESH ONE SHOT - Alec Worley & DaNi return to the pulp fantasy world of Scream's warrior-woman Black Beth. She and her blind assistant Quido take to the seas to find and kill the supposedly dead witch Anis-Amuun, encountering fearsome aquatic creatures along the way. That cover tells you everything you need to know really: one for those starting to miss Slaine.

• BARBARIC #1 - But if that's not enough for you, perhaps you can also add Vault's newest title by Michael Moreci and Nathan Gooden to your pile. Bloodthirsty barbarian action complete with witches, berzerker rages, and a sentient magic axe that has a blood-drinking problem.

• INFINITE FRONTIER SECRET FILES #1 - Six stories that were originally digital-only come to print in this bumper one-shot. The backgrounds of Infinite Frontier's key players are explored in these shorts by the likes of Joshua Williamson, Brandon Thomas, Dan Watters, Stephanie Phillips, Valentine De Landro, Inaki Miranda & Stephen Byrne.

• GREEN ARROW 80TH ANNIVERSARY SPECTACULAR #1 - A celebration of the Emerald Archer by creators past and present. This 96 page one-shot features Oliver Queen and his cast of supporting (and occasionally replacement) charcaters from across the decades, and provides a look into what's next for DC's premiere arrow guy.

• NIGHTMARES OF PROVIDENCE #1 - Avatar unleashes their art roster onto the work of Alan Moore and Jacen Burrows' Providence in this 64-page B&W pin-up special. But really me featuring this is just an excuse to tease all you providence fans with some exciting news coming next week...

• PARASOMNIA #1 (OF 4) - One-man horror comics industry Cullen Bunn is at it again! More of a dark fantasy trip this time as a man flits between our world and the land of dreams, searching for his missing son. But also to contend with are a sinister cult who seek to break down the barrier between worlds for the purposes of conquest.
