ACROSS THE POND SC

The first issue of my new zine series PADMA MILAD! This semi-introductory issue reflects on my journey as an illustrator and author, discussing ideas of imposter syndrome, feeling like a "big fish" in a small pond, and finding community in an industry that can feel hostile.

PADMA MILAD is a new zine series that aims to explore a variety of topics from personal essays to cultural critiques. Each zine is printed at home, hand bound and includes a A6 sticker sheet. The title "Padma Milad" means "Lotus Festival"; each zine is a small, limited time celebration of something that’s joyful or melancholy, like a flower that only blossoms for a short time.

This zine is 16pp, printed on a mix of 220gsm off-white pearlescent paper, 120gsm Aqua pearlescent paper and semi-translucent vellum. The sticker sheet is A6 on transparent vinyl sticker material, with 7 kiss cut stickers.
