A master of stripped-down powerful storytelling rewords the David & Goliath myth, as seen from Goliath's side of the Valley of Elah. Quiet moments in Goliath's life are accentuated by Gauld's drawing style, contrasting minimalist scenery and near-geometric humans with densely crosshatched detail, remeniscent of Edward Gorey. Excellent stuff.
