One of our Gosh! Best of 2017 titles! Better known for his autobiographical travelogues, DelisleÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs latest work looks at a journey forced onto another person with his account of Christophe AndreÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs abduction and detention while working for Doctors Without Borders in Chechnya. Despite his protagonist being trapped in a room for the majority of the book, Delisle makes great use of the form of comics to play with the idea of time and how we experience it, evoke a palpable sense of tension and tell a surprisingly expansive story by exploring how our own minds can comfort or betray us in times of peril.
