“Tales from the Nudniks” (Part 1) is a flip-over graphic novel / comic serialisation of Mark Jay’s debut novel “The Nudniks of 1977” that chronicles a group of misfit ‘zine creators journey in 1977, told through Mark’s older, introspective, writer self, revisiting his teenage bedroom forty years on. Written by Mark and created as a unique cinematic storyboard, part Noir, part Manga, it is drawn by two new graphic artists, Russell Hardingham and Skye Bo. Mark’s rare original cartoons and artwork from his 1976-77 Skum ‘zine complete the visual mix.
