2000AD Mega Signing With Brian Bolland, Dave Gibbons and Mick McMahon

It's become a tradition here to do something special with Rebellion each year celebrating the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, 2000AD! The brilliant cult sci-fi comic has been an integral part of the shop's history and we felt it was important to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year by going all out and hosting a very special 2000AD signing!

We’ve got an action packed afternoon on Saturday 15^th August 2026, from 2pm, when we welcome three comics legends to the shop. Brace yourselves, because Brian Bolland, Dave Gibbons and Mick McMahon will all be here!

Superstar artist Brian Bolland is the master behind many iconic Judge Dredd stories as well as an equally impressive amount for DC Comics, including of course Batman: The Killing Joke. He’s drawn innumerable covers over the years, from Wonder Woman to The Invisibles and everything in between, and of course his Actress and the Bishop and Mr Mamoulian strips are firm favourites of ours.

Dave Gibbons is one of 2000 AD’s most popular artists, having co-created Harlem Heroes and Rogue Trooper. He has also pencilled A.B.C. Warriors, Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Mega-City One, Ro-Busters, Tharg the Mighty, Tharg’s Future Shocks and Time Twisters, as well as having scripted several Rogue Trooper stories – making Gibbons one of the few 2000 AD creators to have served as writer, artist and letterer! Beyond 2000 AD, Gibbons is unquestionably best known for his work on the award-winning classic Watchmen (with Alan Moore), but he has also drawn Batman, Doctor Who, Give Me Liberty, Green Lantern, Superman, Star Wars and his graphic novel, The Originals.

Mick McMahon is one of British comics most talented and influential artists, another of the ground zero art team that made 2000AD the success it became: his Dredd is one of the definitive portrayals of the character. McMahon also stamped his influence on characters such as Slaine and the ABC Warriors, and his ever-evolving style has since been seen on the likes of Batman, Tank Girl and Hellboy.

All three British comics icons will be signing here at Gosh! on Saturday 15th August, from 2pm. Save the date and don’t miss the chance to meet these comic legends!
