Alison Launch Party with Lizzy Stewart!

We’re delighted to have Lizzy Stewart here for a launch party to celebrate the release of her new graphic novel, Alison, from publisher Serpent’s Tail. Lizzy will be here on Wednesday 20th July from 7-9pm. 

Lizzy is an accomplished children’s book writer and illustrator, in addition to creating several excellent and visually stunning comics such as Walking Distance from Avery Hill and It’s Not What You Thought from Fantagraphics. We can’t wait to read her newest comic later this month! Here’s some words from the publisher about the book:

Alison is newly married, barely twenty and struggling to find her place in the world. A chance encounter with an older artist upturns her life and she forsakes convention and her working-class Dorset roots for the thrumming art scene of London in the late seventies. As the thrill of bohemian romance leads inevitably to disappointment, Alison begins to find her own path - through art, friendship and love. 

The launch party for Alison will be on Wednesday 20th July, from 7-9pm. Save the date for a chance to meet Lizzy, have a drink and have a copy of the book signed.
