It's a big one this week! Saturday, 2pm onward, sees three titans of 2000AD descend upon us for our 2000AD Mega-Signing. Brian Bolland, Gerry Finley-Day, Dave Gibbons and Mick McMahon will all be here, as I suspect many of you will be! Details here.

But before that, we've got a cracker for this month's meeting of Reads, the graphic novel reading group on Wednesday, 7-9pm. Absolute Martian Manhunter Vol 01 will be under the spotlight, and all are welcome to come discuss. One of our best books of last year, so our feelings are pretty plain, but it's not about us: what do you think? Details here.

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• BATMAN & ROBIN YEAR ONE: DYNAMIC DUOS #1 - Talking about Dynamic Duos, Mark Waid and Chris Samnee are back together for another mini-series set in the early days of the Batman & Robin partnership. This time around? Juvenile deliquency! Darn kids, always up to no good! Seriously though, superhero comics rarely get better than these.

• GODZILLA'S MONSTERPIECE THEATRE: ROAR OF THE WORLDS #1 - Another Godzilla-fied version of a literary classic, this time tackling H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds (and I should say, gold star for that title). This one is definitely worth checking out, as none other than Kyle Baker handles the creative duties on it! Plus Tom Scioli's Godzilla vs Robin Hood strip continues.

• MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN #1 - Miles is back in an all new series by Bryan Hill, Valentine De Landro and Nico Leon. It's a back-to-basics relaunch for the title thaat's a great jumping-on point for the Miles-curious, complete with high school drama and NYC superhero action.

• REGICIDE #1 - Dracula reigns over Transylvania with an iron fist in this dark fantasy series by Patrick Kindlon and Ludovic Lalliat. A simple peasant is drawn into a scheme to assassinate the despotic viceroy, but there's more to the madman than meets the eye. What could it be???

• GASTRONOMIQUE #1 - A queer erotic thriller from Marguerite Bennett and Helena Masellis, set in revolution-era France. A ruthless spy and her former lover move through the seedy underbelly of Paris in a game of cat and mouse with a voracious cannibal.

• YUMI 00EX #1 - A cyberpunk thriller by Doug Wagner and Hoyt Silva about a young woman and her (literally) killer car taking on the spy world to uncover the truth about her boyfriend's death.

• FOUNDRY #1 - It's back to the Victorian era in the Mignolaverse, as we meet the Foundry. The most cutting-edge scientists and explorers of their age search the world to exploit strange artifacts from the past. They're no time for any supernatural tosh: science is the order of the day! Mike Mignola, Chris Roberson and Christopher Mitten dip back to the age of steam.

• QUEEN IN BLACK THOR #1 -Al Ewing and Sergio Fernández Dávila chip in a Queen in Black crossover, a companion piece to the Hella one-shot from a couple of weeks back.
