Then on Saturday, 1-2pm, our old friend Paul B. Rainey will be joining us again for a signing to celebrate the release of Murder School, from Drawn & Quarterly. Great to see Paul having the success he deserves! Details here.

And don't forget that Saturday is also Batman Day! We'll have a limited number of free Batman Day masks to give away on the day, one-per-customer with a Batman comic purchase. No reservations on these, I'm afraid, it's a strictly first-come-first-served affair, and no guarantees you'll get a mask from a particular era. There are also a number of exclusive Batman Day publications, including deluxe hardcover editions and the eagerly anticipated Batman of Two Worlds special. Speaking of which...

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• BATMAN DAY 2026 BATMAN OF TWO WORLDS #1 - A fascinating "team-up" between Matt Fraction's Batman and Scott Snyder's Absolute Batman, where two parallel stories take place. The two Batmen face the same problem, but each has wildly different methods to find a solution. Who does the better job? Well, that's the interesting, probably quite subjective question, isn't it? NOTE: This one-shot will only be on sale from Saturday 19th September. We will be filing copies for Batman and Absolute Batman standing orders on Saturday morning, so don't worry, we've got you covered!

• DNX #1 - Running a little late, but the Jed MacKay & Federico Vicentini X-Men / Fantastic Four crossover kicks off at last! The X-Men and 3K go head-to-head over the future of mutantkind, with the FF dragged in for good measure. I won't be automatically copying tie-ins across for this, so do let me know if you want any. Here's a list.

• ABSOLUTE CASSANDRA CAIN THE SHADOW'S HAND #1 - Spinning out of Absolute Catwoman, see the origin of Cassandra Cain, the world's deadliest assassin. Raised by Lady Shiva and trained by the League of Assassins, Cassandra and her mother were the only survivors after the Joker slughtered the League. A thoroughly miserable childhood brought to you by Che Grayson and Matías Bergara.

• OFIUSA #1 - A new mind-bending erotic drama from Guillem March, featuring an island paradise, a steamy love triangle, and a cast of characters harbouring dark secrets. March usually infuses his solo material with a good dose of magical realism, and this looks to be cut from the same cloth.

• JOE KUBERT 100 YEARS A LIFE IN COMICS #1 - To celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday, take a walk down memory lane with a collection of some of Joe Kubert's best DC Comics covers. Absolute legend of an artist!

• EXQUSITE CORPSES FOX MASK KILLER #1 - Another of the Exquisite Corpses killers gets a mini-series delving into their backstory. This time around it's the masked assassin known as the Fox Mask Killer, whose tragic backstory casts her in a whole new light. Che Grayson and Adam Gorham do the honours.

• BIG SHAKEDOWN #1 - A neo-noir set in the near future, where Los Angeles has been devastated by The Big One, the earthquake everyone knew was coming, it was just a question of when. (A standard fear anywhere that gets earthquakes - Wellington, NZ also lives in the shadow of "The Big One"). Tim Seeley, Jordan Blum and Scott Koblish tell the story of Ester Blanco, an LA resident and PI who investigates a missing person case and gets involved in a mess of cults and corruption.
