And then David Roach, editor of classic British romance comics collection A Very British Affair, will be here from 2-3pm to sign copies of that handsome tome. Details on that one here

And if that's not enough for you, we've also just announced our Free Comic Book Day events for Saturday 6th May, including our ever-popular kids drawing table and THREE signings! Jump on over here for the skinny!

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

  • SUPERBOY THE MAN OF STEEL #1 -  Rejoice, Conner Kent fans, your prayers (or at least votes in DC's odd "Round Robin" series request poll) have been answered! Everyone's favourite Kryptcloneian (see what I did there?) has decided there's more Supers on Earth than it really needs, so he's off into space to find his place in the larger universe. Kenny Porter & Jahnoy Lindsay take Conner on a cosmic road trip.

  • WARLOCK REBIRTH #1 - Want to keep that sweet hit of 90s nostalgia rolling? Well then, have I got a series for you, courtesy of Ron Marz and Ron Lim, the kings of 80's cosmic. This 5 issue mini is an untold tale of Adam Warlock, rewriting his origin as he encounters a new, upgraded version of himself.

  • ALL EIGHT EYES #1 - A feckless 20-something becomes involved in a battle against giant spiders who prey on the homeless of early-2000's New York City? Oh, Steve Foxe & Piotr Kowalksi, you had me at giant spiders.

  • AVENGERS ASSEMBLE OMEGA #1 - Not merely the end of the current crossover event, but also the capstone to Jason Aaron's five year run with the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Expect bombast!

  • DC SILENT TALES #1 - An anthology of completely silent comics by Gustavo Duarte (formerly titled DC Speechless but changed for copyright reasons). A pleasant tour into the lighter side of the DC universe in six comedic tales starring Harley Quinn, Superman, Cyborg and more.

  • EXPANSE DRAGON’S TOOTH #1 - Were you a big fan of the Expanse tv show? Were you a bit frustrated at the dangling plot threads left in the wake of its shortened final season? Well, Andy Diggle and Rubine are giving you just the 12 issue mini-series that you want: a direct follow-up to the show that ties up those loose ends and gives you more of that character-driven space opera that you love.

  • TERRORWAR #1 - Saladin Ahmed and Dave Acosta have a vision of future blue collar horror in this new series. The last vestiges of humankind are under attack from creatures which mimic their deepest fears. Their only protection? Muhammad Cho and his motley band of contractors called the Terrorfighters.

And that's it! See you next time!
