The Gosh! Authority 21.10.26

Hello! October continues, and I write to you from the distant past of two weeks ago, where I am preparing to have you covered while I traipse about in Australia!

This Saturday, 1-2pm, Steve Webb will be here to sign copies of the latest volume of Peng & Spanners, Doctor Bicuits! Get the details here.

Just a quick heads-up: we are very tightly staffed this week and next, so there may be a bit of a delay with any standing order mailout requests, particularly this week. Apologies for any inconvenience!

HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

• THREE WORLDS THREE MOONS ARRIVALS #1 - The Three Worlds Three Moons train rumbles on, with the first multi-issue arc by Jonathan Hickman, Nick Spencer and Mike Huddleston, also featuring contributions by Christian Ward, James Stokoe & Juni Ba. As three siblings head home after the death of their father, the great explorer Tajo Vallar, we're given a thorough tour of the universe of Three Worlds Three Moons.

• AMAZING SPIDER-MAN HALLOWEEN SPECIAL #1 - Basically what it says on the tin: a Halloween one shot by Justina Ireland and Mike Hawthorne. Hallow's Eve has a big heist planned, and Spidey is on the case, perhaps even donning a new costume for the occasion!

• IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE #1 - A goat's-eye view survival horror from Philip Gelatt, David Yarovesky, and Adam Pollina. Bronson is a goat, the runt of his herd on the quiet farm where they live. But when a mad cult descends on the farm, kills the humans, and hauls his family off to sacrifice to their dark lord, Bronson has to step up and save his family from their fate.

• PUNISHER SHOWDOWNS BLACK WIDOW #1 - The first of a series of one-shots starring Frank Castle and his super-friends. Tom Waltz and Greg Land have ther Punisher and Black Widow square up as they chase the same leads on an operative from Wolf Spider.

• HAMMER HEAD #1 - After a massacre 20 years ago which ended in his death, the Hammer Head killer returns from the grave every 2 years to commit new atrocities. Now a survivor of that original killing spree finds herself imprisoned and drawn into a dark ritual that connects to Hammer Head. Probably should have moved to Thailand or something. Ed Brisson and Damian Couceiro are behind this thumping slab of horror.

• IRON MAN RACING TOWARDS DOOM #1 - An Iron Man / Doctor Doom / Formula 1 crossover? Sure...why not? And hey...throw Black Widow and Captain America (Sam Wilson) in there for good measure. Job's a good 'un, Ethan Sacks and Greg Land!

Fair dinkum, cobber!

Andrew.
