The Gosh! Authority 22.07.26
Hello!

This weekend sees the nationwide celebration of all things self-published, Small Press Day! This year we'll be hosting two groups of exciting creators: the folks behind Very Tiny Comics Gumball Machine Anthology, and the Camberwell Comic Club from Camberwell College of Arts! Details here.
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK

- TERMINAL #1 - Robert Kirkman, Joe Casey and Andy Kubert launch a new big action superhero title, with additional material from David Finch and Arthur Adams. Like, actual honest-to-God comics work from those two! A woman searching for her sister is drawn into a secret world of warring superhumans, one she's about to play a bigger role in than she may have liked. This looks like the kind of superhero book that plays right into Kirkman and Casey's strengths.

- GIANT ROBOT HELLBOY RETURNS #1 - Mike Mignola and Duncan Fegredo are back, with an all-new series starring the gigantic metal version of Hellboy. But GRH vanished, presumably never to be seen again! Well, turns out he was just down in the deep blue sea, and when scientists try to find him, they find a portal to another dimension instead.

- GAMBIT WANTED #1 - Coo-wee, mes amis! The ragin' Cajun is back in a flashback mini-series set just after his debut, written by none other than Chris Claremont himself, with art by Robert Gill. The sass, the playing cards, the embarrassingly terrible costume (yeah, I said it): they're all here!

- X-MEN THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1 - Good news, mad fashion fans, the Hellfire Gala is alive and well! Well, poor choice of words: someone's just been murdered at the ball, and everyone is a suspect. A one-shot featuring (deep breath) Gail Simone, Jed MacKay, Erica Schultz, Saladin Ahmed, Eve L. Ewing, Aaron Kuder, Joëlle Jones, Luciano Vecchio, Federica Mancin, Tony S. Daniel, and Cory Smith!

- ACTION COMICS #1100 - A bumper issue with a starry line-up of creators to celebrate 1100 issues of the Man of Steel. Featuring Mark Waid, Joshua Williamson, Sophie Campbell, Skylar Patridge, Ryan Sook, Dan Mora, and Lucas Meyer, this issue really highlights what a great era the Superbooks are going through.

- DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL HEIR TO THE SEA #1 - A tie-in to the new Dark Knights of Steel mini-series, this one-shot by Tom Taylor & Riccardo Federici tells the secret origin of that universe's Aquaman, as originally serialised in the Allwinter mini-series.

- MARVEL ZERO #1 - Hey True Believer! Did you miss out on the Marvel Comics Giveaway Day books? Well fret no more, they're reprinted in this (not free) one-shot.
And I'm done!
Andrew.
