The Gosh! Authority 28.06.22
Hello!
It's a big weekend for events! First up, we've got Isabel Greenberg here on Friday the 30th from 7-9pm to launch her new children's book The Midnight Babies, which is sure to be good evening. You can get the details on that one here.
Then on Saturday the 1st, from 12-1pm Will Morris will be in to sign copies of his fantastic new fantasy series from Image, Gospel, which also comes with a Gosh exclusive bookplate. Details here.
And if that wasn't enough, following on directly from Will from 1-2pm are the father and son duo of Sean and Jacob Phillips! They'll be signing copies of their new collaboration with Ed Brubaker, Night Fever, and you can get the details on that one here.
Pretty small one for a Previews week. Let's tuck in.
HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
- THE ODDLY PEDESTRIAN LIFE OF CHRISTOPHER CHAOS #1 - James Tynion IV and Tate Brombal team with artist Isaac Goodhart for a new series that's part dysfunctional superhero saga, part LGBTQ+ coming of age tale, and part monster-filled romp. Christopher Chaos, a teenage mad scientist, finds out that the boy at school he likes is actually a vicious beastie. Plus there's a cult of monster hunters bent of his destruction. Ahh, teenage life!
- X-MEN BEFORE THE FALL HERALDS OF APOCALYPSE #1 - From the dawn of Arrako to perhaps its final days, Al Ewing and Stefano Landini tell a tale that leads into the end of Krakoa. Apocalypse and his Arrakan buddies are front and centre in this one.
- BRYNMORE #1 - Steve Niles, basically the Stephen King of comics, is back with a new collaboration with artist Damien Worm. Fresh from his divorce and now sober (uh-oh), Mark Turner returns to his island hometown (uh-oh) in order to start afresh (uh-oh). He buys an abandoned church (uh-oh), intent on converting it into a new home (uh-oh) despite the protests of the locals (uh-oh). But the town has a dark secret (UH-OH) related to Mark's ancestors (OH NO), with only the name "Brynmore" as a clue.
And that, would you believe, is that! See you next time, friends!
Andrew.
